Sylvanus Hatch Collection 1809-1885

Massachusetts native Sylvanus Hatch (1788-1885) settled in Louisiana, where he served the United States in the War of 1812. He first went to Texas in 1828 and settled in Austin's colony soon after, eventually establishing his home in Calhoun County.
